R&D Industrialisation Engineer

Job description

As an R&D Industrialisation Engineer you will be responsible for optimizing and improving the imaging capabilities and calibration procedures of the MOLECUBES CT/PET/SPECT product line. This role requires a variety of technical engineering skills ranging from instrumentation, algorithm design to implementation. 

In close collaboration with the Operations Manager and Hardware Manager you will ensure system quality, stability and performance in production. Together with other R&D team members you will be in the driver’s seat of innovation and report directly to the Hardware Manager. 

Your main tasks and responsibilities will consist of :

  • Optimizing the current calibration algorithms with the aim to improve our industrialisation processes for robustness, quality and efficiency.
  • Being the bridge between R&D/Engineering and Operations: you translate complex processes into manageable production blocks
  • Taking part in the internal production processes (calibration, acceptance, …) to keep feet on the ground and to further improve the algorithms.
  • Proactively taking ownership of your work in cooperation with the Operations manager, supported by our CT/PET/SPECT imaging experts.

Profile

  • A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Physics or a similar field
  • Passionated by engineering, algorithm design and programming
  • You have a great interest in industrialization processes and are always on the lookout to increase productivity
  • You aim for high quality standards and strive for continuous improvement and quality assurance
  • An enthusiastic and humble team player
  • Has the ability to come up to speed in new areas quickly
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Fluent in English
  • PhD level or experience in imaging is a plus
